President's word:

The SRDMH has decided to resume its activities for young people, which it had interrupted for ten years. In the past we had a concert given by young people practicing music. They passed auditions beforehand. Faced with the number of applications which grew from year to year, the program had become too heavy to manage with our limited resources.

This year we have decided to invite them to attend the Exodus concert and to meet the artists on March 25, 2023 as part of the Semaine d'Actions Contre le Racisme et pour l'égalité des chances (SACR), accompanied by their parents. .

We were financially supported by the law firm Gowling WLG during the Exodus concert held at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal during the start of this new way of proceeding.

We thank them deeply because these young people were amazed by what they saw and heard. They were captivated. The interpreters were just as happy to welcome them and answer their many questions.

We believe that, for some of them, we have been able to make a difference in their daily life and perhaps in their future. Many, especially the older ones, could not imagine that there was high-level Haitian classical music, comparable to what is done in other countries and in Quebec. Thanks to the quartet.

This youth concert participation program is well underway.

We once again thank Gowling WLG Law Firm for their generosity.
